Our Club

The Rotary Club of Nanaimo-Oceanside is a not for profit organization that is committed to the betterment of our communities, both here and abroad.

Founded in 1998, Oceanside Rotary has since donated over $800,000 within our community. While our focus is on youth centered projects that provide direct benefit within the Nanaimo area, our Club actively seeks opportunity to reach other parts of the world like our ongoing projects in Sunyani, Ghana.

The Oceanside family would like to thank our friends who support our fund-raising efforts through our Annual Gala, our Annual Christmas Food & Toy Drive, and the various other projects that our club untakes.

Our Ways

Through our fun and exciting events and initiatives, we are able to positively impact the people in our communities, both local, and worldwide. Although our Rotary family is well acquainted with hard work, an emphasis is always placed on the social aspects of our select projects. A good club has good fellowship – and we have some of the best.

A WORD FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Each year Rotary renews itself by electing a new leadership team within each club and internationally. The incoming Rotary International (“RI”) President choses a theme, not only to guide RI’s leaders, but also to guide Rotarians around the world. For the 2020-2021 Rotary year, RI President, Holger Knaack, of Herzogtum Lauenburg-Mölln, Germany adopted the theme “Rotary Opens Opportunities”.

As a club, we hope to bring the opportunities to more people in our community through our local initiatives as well as our youth programs. Today’s youth are tomorrow’s leaders and is where our club primarily focuses our time.
